Welcome to Systas 4 Systas, Inc.!
SYSTAHOOD
refers to a close-knit group of friends from New Jersey joined by the common
bond instinctively shared by all women. SYSTAHOOD is the basis for a motivating
and supportive network for all females who desire to achieve above and beyond
normal expectations.
Bearing witness to the downfall of
self-esteem within our youth, a group of childhood friends devised SYSTAS 4
SYSTAS, Inc. (S4S) as a solution. In 1994 a group of childhood friends from East
Orange sought to address the issues of low self-esteem. Today, while there are
many new challenges in our communities, S4S is still committed to decreasing
high school drop out rates, incarceration and recidivism statistics and
promoting quality of life issues.
We are a community-based 501(c)(3) tax-exempt corporation founded to promote and
support the development of urban females between the ages of 11-21 years. S4S
remains true to its philosophy and acronym Supporting Young Systas Toward
Achieving Success.
Headquartered in East Orange and Newark, NJ, our services are provided in
collaboration with community-based agencies, business leaders and residents. We
believe a strong support system significantly increases the chances of a
successful transition into adulthood.
